The vending
market shows signs of recovery. In 2011about 20 million Italians consumed at
least one product, while total purchases have reached the 6 billion notch. In
Europe, solid food vending machines number 3,800,000. These are
the findings of the convention “Packaging for vending” promoted by Confida, the
Italian Vending Association.
At the closing of the meeting, awards were given to five companies. The winner of the “Packaging Prototype” category was La Matassina Group
with Tritech, in the “Snack” category, Conserve Italia with fruit salad Joga Fruitesse, in the “Bevarage”category, Parmalat with Santal 200 cc in the “No Food” category, Easy Pack Solutions with Easysnap.
The overall winner of the Packaging for Vending contest was Riso Scotti with Chiccolat Sprint.
