Pharmintech, the example-setting show for growth and cooperation

On stage next year from April 17th to 19th at Bolognafiere, Pharmintech is set to a strong bond between the pharmaceutical supply network showcased at the exhibition and the pharmaceutical production industry.
Starting from this edition Pharmintech will expand into the personal care market through ì its co-location with Cosmofarma, Bolognafiere’s flagship trade show. Though the two exhibitions will be held jointly only on April 19th, the co-location will make it easier for all professionals to visit both events.

Bologna is located at the core of what is referred to as the Italian "packaging valley" because of the high number of packaging companies concentrated in this area. Bolognafiere president Duccio Campagnoli stressed this fact this morning while presenting Pharmintech to a crowded press conference held during IPACK-IMA. He also highlighted the high strategic value of the partnership with trade show organizer Ipack-Ima Spa, which gave birth to the show. "I am proud to be here in Milan to present an exhibition bound to increase the value of the Italian industrial network, to be hosted in Bologna - said Campagnoli. It is an excellent example of how we can create synergies in the trade show business overcoming local interests and looking to the real competitive arena, the global market ."

Ipack-Ima Spa CEO Guido Corbella underlined Pharmintech’s time-earned deep roots into the business community it represents: a top-class industrial network developing cutting-edge technology, appreciated on all major global markets and achieving impressive export rates which can even exceed 90%. Pharmintech’s blazing success relies on three key factors, says Corbella: quick response to new market needs, made possible by the support of the steering committee whose members include leading industrialists, both from manufacturing and end user companies; the support of Farmindustria, granted ever since Mr. Dompé’s presidency – today Mr. Dompé is Pharmintech’s president – which enabled both the exhibition and the industry it showcases to reach challenging objectives, thus becoming a pillar of Italy’s economy; the excellent work done by the Pharmintech Observatory, whose accurate, detailed analysis made it possible to identify with increasing precision the business community involved in the pharmaceutical supply network.

Such encouraging results are backed by solid data. On one hand, Pharmintech is now a well-established exhibition, acknowledged by the global market and boasting an impressive 4,000 visitors in the last edition. On the other hand, the three main industry sectors represented at the show report positive performance – as explained by prof. Giampaolo Vitali, member of the Association of Business Economists and author of the Pharmintech Observatory economic report analyzing the last semester 2011 and first semester 2012 -.
The recovery is well underway and there is a general positive outlook for the first half of 2012, according to the evidence emerged from a representative sample of Italian companies active in the industry of pharmaceutical machinery, materials and services. At last year’s close both revenues and exports were on the rise; the recovery is expected to continue into the current semester.

"With Pharmintech, Bolognafiere and Ipack-Ima are showing just how competitive this country can become provided we look beyond individual sectors and barriers and start exploiting valuable partnerships among different industry leaders - commented Pharmintech president Sergio Dompé. This show is a combination of different elements: product showcase, partnership, vision all come together to create a magnet for expertise and skill which is already reaping great success. This can truly set a valuable example, and by mustering all our courage and humbleness we can extend this model to the entire country".
